Details & Story

From Ulysse Nardin, a distinguished brand that pioneered the history of high-precision chronometers for navigation, comes the "Classico Cloisonné Treasure Boat Zheng He," a rare masterpiece limited to 25 pieces worldwide, which encapsulates traditional and supreme artistic techniques on its dial.

This work utilizes the "cloisonné (wired enamel)" technique, in which Ulysse Nardin excels and is highly regarded in the watchmaking world. The motif is the huge wooden ship (treasure ship) of Zheng He, a general who led great voyages during China's Ming Dynasty in the 15th century. Artisans form the outlines of the ship and waves with gold wires thinner than a strand of hair, then apply multiple layers of opaque and translucent enamel glazes under a microscope, firing them repeatedly in an oven to create unique artistic colors. The contrast between the deep blue sea, unique to enamel, and the gleaming golden sails is truly breathtaking.

At the 6 o'clock position on the dial, the words "TREASURE BOAT ZHENG HE" are proudly engraved along with the serial number "22 / 25," proving that only 25 pieces exist worldwide.

The elegant 18K rose gold (750) case, emitting a sophisticated glow, and the lustrous purple alligator strap, which perfectly enhances the beauty of the enamel dial, show magnificent harmony, adorning the wrist with a supreme work of art.

This is the ultimate timepiece, combining historical and artistic value, rarely seen in domestic and international auctions or high-end collector's markets. The exterior is also in excellent condition with no significant damage.
